I remember the first time you kissed me.
After all we had been through, our hearts were finally together.
You knelt down by the pond and told me you loved me as you cupped the frog I was in your palm.
But after you touch the spell was broken and I was a young prince once again, able to marry you and live happily ever after in our kingdom together.
I thought I was done with the spell after all of that, but apparently it wasnt done with me.
You smiled and laughed after I said I do in front of the priest and transformed back into the frog out of sheer nervousness.
But after another kiss I would come back to you, forever your prince.
so that was all right.
I remember it happening from time to time over the years especially when I found out you were pregnant, or when our oldest daughter found that handsome knight from over in the next kingdom.
They were in love, you could tell just by seeing how those two looked at each other, and she was so much like you, determined to make a husband out of that boy.
It was a good time.
Before the enemy came and destroyed everything.
I told you it was my duty to protect you and our people from the wolf at the gates.
As I stood in your room with the rest of our girls, saying what might be our last goodbyes, they broke through our defenses and had overrun our castle, ransacking and killing everything in there path before I even knew they were there and breaking through the door.
And before I could do anything to stop them I turned back into the frog out of surprise.
Helpless and unable to defend you and the girls, forced to watch the pointless cruelty but unafraid that they would kill me.
Because who notices a frog?
The little ones got off the easiest and at least they had died quickly, but there were no such mercies for you and our oldest.
You both screamed endlessly as they took turns, raping and beating the two of you.
It was a relief when they finally slit both your throats; finally you both were freed from your pain.
People ask me how I changed back from a frog whenever i get to this point in telling the story, but I always tell them I dont remember.
But if you want the truth, I hopped over to her corpse after everyone was gone and gave her one last kiss.
And so now I wander endlessly unable to face the fact that I failed you, drowning away my memories of you in taverns, but know that no matter how hard I try to forget my heart is with you forever.
Your gentle hearted fool, your husband, your frog prince.
And now all I can do is wait until I finally die so that I can feel your lips against mine once more.

What gave you the idea for this one? It's kind of different from your other writing.

If you could be either Gods worst enemy or nothing, which would you choose?
We are Gods middle children with no special place in history and no special attention.
Unless we get Gods attention, we have no hope of damnation or redemption.
